So, if you are reading this, I am 100% sure you have already gone through some of our podcasts, blog posts, event write ups and perhaps even scrolled our Instagram page: @youthnitednations . And you probably saw that we are looking for motivated and inspired youth to join our Youthnited Nations Board of Directors!
So now you are wondering... what does it entail?

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for motivated and inspired youth who are looking to make a difference in whatever shape or form. You don't need to know what "making a difference" looks like- this will come with experience.
Individuals who have passion in any area- this is the most beautiful part of working towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. There are 17 of them- they are widespread- they touch on every aspect of life. Therefore, if you are interested in making a difference in an area, this will be a great platform of support for you!
Individuals with different talents to make a well balanced team which may include: leadership skills, communication skills, work ethic, excitement, past experience on a board (although this is not necessary), innovative ideas, organized - to name a few.
Individuals who are looking to contribute to something- this contribution "amount" or the time you want to put into Youthnited Nations will be determined by the Board once the Board is elected. Teamwork makes the Dreamwork- so we will have a discussion on what expectations for time commitment will look like for everyone once we come together. In essence, this will be as much or as little as you want. Everything counts!
Individuals looking to build partnerships with the community and relationships with others through Youthnited Nations, while working towards major goals such as obtaining status with the United Nations.
Why should I join?
1. Youthnited Nations will provide the tools and education for you to increase your knowledge surrounding the United Nations and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
2. Make meaningful impact in areas that interest you- we welcome all ideas and interests. Let's turn those ideas into action!
3.Perhaps you have been involved as a volunteer with a non-profit organization, but have you ever helped build one?
4.Have you ever wanted to be more involved in a leadership position but have found challenges in getting involved? Youthnited Nations offers a platform for like minded youth leaders to come together through meaningful conversation, to create purposeful action and acquired leadership skills. Don't worry if you have never been in a leadership role before-we are focussing our attention on giving opportunities to those who are interested and passionate.
5. Build your resume with legitimate volunteer hours documented by Youthnited Nations. Youthnited Nations will also be publishing work to the United Nations Platform for Sustainable Development, and opportunities to receive educational certificates will be provided.
