Committees
As a non-profit organization we recognize the importance of engaging members and allowing opportunities for individuals to contribute. With a focus on various sectors of service, the committees allow members to contribute to areas in which they are passionate and knowledgeable about.
For the year of 2018-2019, the established committees will be:
The International Outreach committee will focus on global and international service, development, and overall outreach.
Members of this committee will lead, educate, and advocate for international progress and well-being, with the Sustainable Development Goals in mind.
It will be lead by the International Outreach Committee Chair (non-voting member, one year term), who will consistently consult with the Board of Directors regarding current and future efforts.
The Marketing and Communications Committee will be focused on the development of Youthnited Nations, in regards to communication with members, partners, and the general public.
Through use of social media, websites, newsletters, and other various communication outlets, this committee will work on engaging youth with a consistent Youthnited Nations theme.
The Committee will be lead by the Marketing and Communications Committee Chair (non-voting member, one year term), who will consistently consult with the Board of Directors regarding current and future efforts.
The Community Partnership and Programming Commitee will focus on the progression of Youthnited Nations as an organization, via partnership establishment, programming/events, and membership engagement.
This committee is especially important in the organization’s building years, and will require dedicated and passionate individuals.
The Committee will be lead by the Strategic Development Committee Chair (non-voting member, one year term), who will consistently consult with the Board of Directors regarding current and future efforts.

My favorite SDG is #4 Quality Education, because I believe that the road to a better future begins with empowering todays youth through education. Many children have restricted access to quality education, whether it is due to political or economic influences limiting their opportunities. Providing a quality education for youth, offers them the tools to become more proactive members of society both locally and globally.
